Sabres vs. Blackhawks – Game Preview

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks travel to Buffalo tonight looking for their first win of the season.  Coming off of an overtime loss to Colorado and a regulation loss to Detroit the Hawks are hungry for win.  On the other side, Buffalo, after an embarrassing loss to the Rangers is looking to redeem themselves.

The Blackhawks may be the defending champions however after salary cap issues they were forced to unload a decent portion of their team.  Stars like Kane, Toews, and Sharp are still part of the team though so they’re not to be taken lightly even after dropping the first 2 games.  This team faces criticism for their off-season moves however they still have the talent to be a playoff caliber team.

The Sabres will be going with the same lineup as they did against Ottawa as reports are showing Gerbe sitting and McCormick back in the lineup.  Miller will be in net again looking to redeem his Miller “lite” effort on Saturday night.  We’ve seen Miller have bad games and come back with a shutout so lets hope that’s his reaction tonight.

7:00PM face-off from HSBC Arena.  The game will be on MSG and WGR550 as usual.
