Sabres Wrap-Up

Random Sabres’ news for the day…

  • Sabres won another pre-season game last night defeating Montreal 5-3 to better their pre-season record to 3-1-0.  The game was blacked out locally however TSN has it in their on-demand videos here.  The 2nd and third periods will be listed below the video for the first.  I haven’t watched the whole game however the Sabres really seem to be coming together.  The power play looks a ton better than last season and the penalty kill is looking just as good.  Luke Adam’s came up with a big game scoring 2 goals.
  • Sabres will take on the Flyers tonight in Philadelphia.  The Lineup has not been released yet but expect a similar one to last night barring anyone being sent back to the minors today.
  • Looks like those with Dish Network won’t only be missing out on the pre-season games but also the regular season as they failed to reach an agreement with MSG.  Sabres.com has the story.  I almost switched to Dish Network this summer and am glad I didn’t right now.
  • Vanek left the game last night after playing a little over 4 minutes.  The reports are saying it was only a neck stinger and nothing serious.  He was practicing in Philadelphia tonight.
  • October is finally here.  The Sabres will kick off the regular season next Friday in Ottawa followed by the home opener Saturday against the Rangers and Tim Kennedy.   It’s almost hockey season!
