Sabres Continue a Busy Pre-Season in HockeyVille

After a 5-4 loss to Toronto in a rematch of Saturday’s pre-season opener the Sabres continue on, playing Ottawa tonight at JL Grightmire Arena in Dundas as part of Hockeyville 2010.

As last nights game was again blacked out yet again I was unable to catch it, however Sabres.com has the usual recap.  Stafford had another strong showing with 2 assists and a goal tying Derek Roy’s 3 assists as the leading scorers with 3 points a piece.  Nathan Gerbe continues to  show why he deserves a spot on this team’s roster with a 2 goal night.

Tonight the Sabres take on the Ottawa Senators in Hockeyville, the annual pre-season hockey festival the Sabres and Senators typically take part in.  Sabres.com is reporting the following lines for tonight.

26 Thomas Vanek – 19 Tim Connolly – 29 Jason Pominville

42 Nathan Gerbe – 20 Rob Niedermayer – 21 Drew Stafford

46 Dennis McCauley – 72 Luke Adam – 54 Zack Kassian

65 Travis Turnbull – 8 Cody McCormick – 23 Colin Stuart

57 Tyler Myers – 27 Shaone Morrisonn

4 Steve Montador – 44 Andrej Sekera

6 Mike Weber – 33 TJ Brennan

30 Ryan Miller, 1 Jhonas Enroth

We get a first look at some of the younger guys fighting for a spot including TJ Brennan and Colin Stuart.  Kassian and Adam are both in the lineup again as it looks like the coaching staff is trying to see as much of them as they can.  For the veterans Pat Kaleta and Craig Rivet have both yet to be cleared to play but have been practicing.  Reports are saying that Miller will have the full load in goal tonight with Enroth dressing as a back-up.

7:00PM start tonight for a game that will finally be shown live (or on TV at all for that matter).  MSG will be carrying the game.
